I recently stayed at the InterContinental San Antonio Riverwalk for a work conference, and I was absolutely blown away by the entire experience. From the moment I checked in to the moment I checked out, the staff made me feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of. The service here is truly outstanding. Every team member I interacted with—front desk, housekeeping, event staff, and everyone in between—was warm, attentive, and eager to help. It’s clear that the hotel prides itself on customer experience, and it really shows. The hotel itself is beautiful. My room was spotless, modern, and extremely comfortable, with great views and thoughtful touches that made the stay even better. The amenities were equally impressive. It had a well-equipped fitness center, great on-site dining options, beautiful communal spaces and easy access to the Riverwalk. As someone attending a conference, I also appreciated the hotel’s meeting spaces—they were clean, comfortable, and very well-organized by the staff. Overall, this hotel exceeded all expectations. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, I highly recommend the InterContinental San Antonio Riverwalk. I’ll absolutely be choosing this property again on future trips. All the staff was amazing but a special thanks to Zhryryhla, Cristina, Emily, Alex, Andy, Aileen and Kevin.

As a frequent traveler, I’ve learned that in almost every hotel there is one employee who ultimately defines the experience. It only takes one person’s service, whether poor or exceptional, to tip the scale. During my stay here, that person was Jonathan at the lobby bar, and he did so in the best possible way. I had a fairly unusual request due to strict dietary needs, and Jonathan handled it with an incredible level of care, sensitivity, and professionalism. He went well beyond what I ever expected, not just to accommodate the request, but to make me feel genuinely comfortable and confident coming back the next night to ask again. I can’t thank him enough, not only for what he did, but for how he did it. Beyond that standout experience, the hotel itself was excellent. The property is very clean, very quiet, and genuinely nice, which made it easy to relax and feel at home. From the rooms to the common areas, everything felt well maintained and thoughtfully run. Every staff member I interacted with was professional, courteous, and accommodating, reinforcing the sense that this hotel truly values service. Combined with Jonathan’s exceptional care, this was easily a five-star stay, and I would not hesitate to return.

Lovely! What a wonderful hotel. The housekeeping went above and beyond when tidying up our room, the staff is pleasant and quick, and all the decorations are superb. I have stayed in many hotels across the world, but this one has put me in awe! You do need to use $25 a day. But honestly, I love it! The options for food and beverage are very good. Parking is valet if you choose, but they retrieve your car promptly. They also have slippers if you need them. Thank you InterContinental.

We booked a classic king room for the night and overall had a great experience. The staff was friendly, no issues with valet service, room was very clean and comfortable. I loved that the bath towels were more like sheets, the nespresso machine was a nice addition, and the room design was lovely. A couple of minor cons that prevent me from giving a full 5 stars: self parking is $30 - the cost isn’t a big deal, it’s downtown and to be expected. Except that self parking isn’t connected to the hotel. You have to park down the street in a public garage and walk quite a distance with your things, so if you don’t want to do that your only option is valet which is $65 per day. Additionally, the hotel now implements a $25 “amenities fee” which you get back as a food & beverage credit. Also not necessarily a big deal, but you can’t use it on the day of check out, so if you were only staying for a night like we were and specifically had booked other plans, you’re just out an extra $25 for nothing. The fact that we couldn’t use it to get breakfast or a coffee in the morning before leaving is irritating and just feels like a way for IHG to make more money off their guests. Again, not a massive deal in the grand scheme of things, but for what it costs to stay here, not allowing people to use it morning of is not cool. Overall, though, we really enjoyed our stay. Just keep those things in mind when booking so you know what to expect.

Stayed here in late November on our way to visit family in South Texas. Breakfast was great. The front desk lady gave a courteous welcome and explained our member benefits when we arrived. The next morning, our breakfast waiter, Miguel, provided great service and recommendations. We were not disappointed with breakfast. Rooms were nice and clean with a great view that included the riverwalk. Would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel!! Definitely will be my go to from now on when I travel to San Antonio. Beautiful hotel, rooms, and view!! Wonderful staff, very accommodating. Would definitely recommend! Only recommendation I would add is to have a microwave available for individuals to request. Since the rooms come with a refrigerator and I had to-go food, I will need to be able to warm it up. Asked staff for how we could go about warming food up and was told they could not help.

Great experience here! From the valet to check-in. Stacey was our check-in specialist and she was informative, friendly, and exudes patience. The onsite restaurant, The Cavalier, was yummy and fit what we needed for our schedule. They had live music at the bar area, which was nice for a nightcap. Valet is 60$, there's self-parking around the corner for 30$
